• Towns and villages on the outskirts of major cities have seen an influx of people wanting to live more in the countryside. But still being able to commute to work
• Led to increased traffic increased modern housing developments and lack of affordable housing which may force younger people out of the area
• More remote areas have seen a population decline as younger people have moved away closer to bigger settlements for work and university
