Microscopy

• Eyepiece magnification x objective = overall magnification
• Image size = actual size x magnification
• Metres -> millimetres = x1000

  Millimetres -> micrometres = x1000

  Micrometres -> nanometres = x1000
• Eyepiece - lens to look into microscope
• Stage - where the glass slide is placed, held into place by the clips
• Coarse adjustment - used to adjust the focus of the microscope by moving the stage up or down
• FIne adjustment - adjusts fineness/resolution for higher magnifications
• Objective lens - magnification (x4, x10, x40)
