    • Channels are the heart of a soundboard. They represent individual input sources (such as microphones, instruments, or playback devices).
  • Gain (Trim, Sensitivity): Adjusts the input volume for a specific channel. Adjusting the gain determines how much power is in your signal.
  • EQ (Equalization): Shapes the sound by adjusting high, mid, and low frequencies.
    • Auxiliary Sends (Aux Sends): Used for creating separate mixes (e.g., monitor mixes).
  • Fader: Volume sliders that control the volume level for that channel. They can be moved up and down to increase or decrease the volume.
  • Mute Button: Silences a channel.
  • Inputs: Gets signals that come from microphones, instruments, iPods, etc.
    Outputs: Connects to speakers (mainly).
  • Solo Button: Isolates a specific channel for monitoring.
