• P- One limitation of the psychodynamic approach it is viewed as unscientific.
• E- This is because it has a number of untestable concepts. Many of Freud's concepts are unable to be tested epiracally including the unconcious mind, oedipus complex and the tripartite personality since they are all believed to occur at an unconcious level.
• E- This is a limitation as the psychodynamic approach fails to meet the scientific criterion of falsification as it is not open to the possibility of being disproved .
• L- Furthermore, his ideas were based on the subjective study of single individuals such as Little Hans increases the likelihood of bias, making it difficult to make universal claims about human behaviour. Therefore, it lacks scientific credibility as it has value as one explaination for human behaviour.
