• The testes are formed in the abdomen in GONADAL RIDGES (upper lumbar region)
• Failure to move testes into the scrotum is called cryptochidism
• GUBERNACULUM attach testes to posterior abdominal wall
• Each testes is divided into lobules with 800 seminiferous tubules/testis
• The testes are covered by a fibrous sheath called the TUNICA ALBUGINEA

  Heat systems include high density sweat glands and spermatic coiled arteries.

  it is muscle under the skin to control scrotum's temperature.
• What is the epididymis ?

  Location of maturation for sperm. Comma shaped with a head (caput), body (corpus) and tail (caudal)
• What do each the head, body and tail of epididymis do ?

  The head receives sperm from rete testis with STEREOCILIA absorbing fluid while sperms are immotile. In the body, convolutions decrease as well as fluid content. At the tail stereocilia decrease while muscularity increase. This causes concentration of sperm to increase 5 x 10 by 2 folds
• What is the vas deferens

  It is where the sperm reaches after leaving epididymis. It is made of 3 muscular layers , the inner and outer being longitudinal while the middle layer circular.
• What is CAVD?

  It is the absence of vas deferens. It can be common with cystic fibrosis and likely causes also include genetic mutation
