What is a communicable disease ?
a disease that
can
be
spread
from
one person
to
person
e.g. measles
How are communicable disease spread ?

pathogens
such as

be passed from person to person e.g.
coronary heart disease

tuberculosis
however some have defective immune system e.g.
HIV
Disadvantages of defective immune system
people are more likely to suffer from
infectious disease
What is human papilloma virus (HPV)
extremely
common
, essential
harmless
for some people it causes
cervical cancer

cancer every year in the UK
Some disease can be triggered by the
immune system
e.g allergies like
asthma
When the body is infected with a
pathogen
,the
immune system
fights off but the person is then left with an
allergy
Sometimes a
mental illness
can be triggered by a
physical illness

arthritis
?
Inflammation
of the
joints.
People with
arthritis
can find it
difficult
to move and lead a
normal
life and in some cases this can make them feel
isolated
and
depressed
