    destroys pathogens and any toxins produced

    they stick to pathogens,triggering the pathogens to be destroyed

    • they are extremely specific,if someone catches measles they will make antibodies for measles ,they'll only protect against measles not any other pathogens
    • they can remain in the blood for a long time,that can protect us incase we get infected again by the same pathogen
  • What are antitoxins ?
    they stick to toxin molecules and prevent them from damaging cells
