• Traditional Media

  Refer to the means of communication and expression that traditionally existed before the advent of internet
• Pre-historic Period 

  It is the period of human activity between the use of the first stone tools and the invention of writing systems, the earliest of which appeared 5300 years ago.
• Cave paintings

  These are painted drawings on cave walls or ceilings, mainly of prehistoric origin.
• Stone or Clay Tablets

  Described and shown as round-topped rectangles used as a writing medium but this has little basis in religious tradition.
• Rock Carving

  It is an activity where pieces of rough natural stone are shaped by the controlled removal of stone.
• Smoke Signal

  This is one of the oldest forms of long distance communication.
• Industrial Period

  This is defined by mass production broadcasting, the rise of the nation state, power, modern medicine and running water.
• Printing press

  A device for applying pressure to an inked surface resting upon a print medium (such as paper or cloth), thereby transferring the ink.
• Typewriter

  This is a mechanical or electromechanical machine for writing characters similar to those produced by printer's movable type.
• Telegraph

  The long-distance transmission of textual or symbolic messages. It was a revolutionary method of communication.
• Telephone

  lets you communicate with people in different countries and helps reduce many misunderstandings which lead to bad outcomes.
• Phonograph

  It was invented in 1877, a device used for the power-driven recording and reproduction of sound.
• Electronic Period

  This refers to the time communicating can be done in an instant manner.
• Radio

  People listen to it in order to get informed about the recent happenings in the community. 
• Television

  People use them to be entertained.
• Personal computer

  Use to store information or documents, watch videos, and etc.
• Transistor Radio

  A small portable radio receiver that uses transistor-based circuitry.
• New Information Age

  The evolution of media, from old media to new media, has transformed the way we understand the world around us.
• Social Network Sites

  An online platform that allows users to create a public profile and interact with other users.
• Wearable Technology

  Are electronic technology or devices incorporated into items that can be comfortably worn on a body.
• Smart Watches

  A watch that does more than just telling time. It provides users notifications on their calls, messages, emails, social media updates, etc.
• Fitness Tracker

  Helps keep a track of the number of steps the user walks each day and continuously monitors the heart rate.
• Head Mounted Display

  Takes you to a different world of virtual reality. It provides virtual information directly to your eyes.
• Sports Watches

  The wearable device is especially built for sports personnel who love running, cycling, swimming etc.
• Smart Jewelry

  Are designed as jewelries specially targeting women. These jewelries notify the users of their text messages, calls or emails when their phone is out of reach.
• Implantable

  These wearable electronics are surgically implanted under the skin. These are usually used for medical reasons like tracking contraception's, insulin levels etc.
• Smart Phones

  A smartphone is a cell phone that allows you to do more than make phone calls and send text messages.
• Laptops


  Laptop computers, also known as notebooks, are portable computers that you can take with you and use in different environments.
