  • Creation of the Universe - Day 3
God said, ‘Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear’; and it was so. God called the dry land Earth, and the gathering together of the waters He called Seas. God saw that it was good (Genesis 1:9-10)
  • Book of Genesis: '“Then God said, ‘Let there be light’; and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness. God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. So the evening and the morning were the first day” (Genesis 1:3-5)'
  • Creation of the Universe - Day 6
God said, ‘Let the earth bring forth the living creature according to its kind: cattle and creeping thing and beast of the earth, each according to its kind’; and it was so. God made the beast of the earth according to its kind, cattle according to its kind, and everything that creeps on the earth according to its kind. God saw that it was good
  • Creation of the Universe - Day 7
God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done. God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it
  • Divine Creation Theory
A belief that God created reality (the universe and its continent) through divine intervention
  • Creation of the Universe - Day 4
God said, ‘Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years; and let them be for lights in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth.’ God made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night. He made the stars also. God set them in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth, and to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness. God saw that it was good. So the evening and the morning were the fourth day (Genesis 1:14-19)
  • Creation of the Universe - Day 1
God said, ‘Let there be light’; and there was light. God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness. God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. So the evening and the morning were the first day (Genesis 1:3-5)
  • Creation of the Universe - Day 5
God said, ‘Let the waters abound with an abundance of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the face of the firmament of the heavens.’ God created great sea creatures and every living thing that moves, with which the waters abounded, according to their kind, and every winged bird according to its kind. God saw that it was good. God blessed them, saying, ‘Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth.’ So the evening and the morning were the fifth day (Genesis 1:20-23)
  • Creation of the Universe - Day 2
God said, ‘Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.’ God made the firmament, and divided the waters under the firmament from the waters above the firmament; and it was so. God called the firmament Heaven. So the evening and the morning were the second day (Genesis 1:6-8)
  • Divine Creation Theory was stated in the bible, Book of Genesis
  • Activity #3: Illustrate and Explain the Divine Creation Theory. List down the days of creation in correct order (50 points)
  • According to the Closed Universe Theory, gravity will eventually stop the expansion of the universe. It will contract until all universe collapses to a final singularity known as the Big Crunch
  • God: 'And God saw that it was good'
  • Big Bang Theory
  • Fate of the Universe
    • Open Universe Theory
    • Closed Universe Theory
  • Universe
All existing matter and space considered as a whole; the cosmos. Believed to be at least 10 billion light years in diameter and contains a vast number of galaxies. It has been expanding since its creation in the Big Bang about 13.7 billion years ago
  • Genesis 2:1-3: 'Thus the heavens and the earth, and all the host of them, were finished. And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done. Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made'
  • Closed Universe Theory
  • Activity #2: Explain the differences between the Open Universe Theory and the Closed Universe Theory (50 points)
  • The Sabbath
    Day 7
  • According to the Big Crunch theory, the universe will one day stop expanding. Then, as gravity pulls on the matter, the universe will begin to contract, falling inward until it has collapsed back into a super-hot, super-dense singularity. It is compared to a giant soufflé that starts small, expands, and eventually cools and collapses
  • Open Universe Theory
  • Big Bang Theory
Matter and energy were compressed and condensed in a hot tiny dense mass. Due to random fluctuations, this tiny dense and compact point exploded tremendously. Energy and matter divided and became distinct from each other. Dust and portion of the condensed matter and energy started to spread out, coagulated, and formed different objects and heavenly bodies. Stars, solar systems, and galaxies were formed. This is the most popular theory of the origin of the universe
