Roles of the executive

• role of executive is to propose legislation, budget and making policy decisions
• executive-The decision-making branch of government, centred on the PM and Cabinet and its committees
• proposing legislation- May 2015 David Cameron reflected the priorities of the government and including proposals such as a legislation to protect public services from strikes, in out referendums on the uk about the European membership
• proposing budget examples- if a new government wins a election than they will introduce a budget of their own even if the government before them already presented one for example in 2010 George Osborn the chancellor of the coalition government intorduced a emergency budget after 90 days being chancellor
• policy decisions 2010-2015- introducing free schools, universal credit and adding more NHS services
