• Recount is a detailed retelling of past events or personal experiences in chronological order.
• A Recount's purpose is to inform the audience. 
• The details in the recount include what happened, who was involved, where it took place, when it happened, and why it happened. 
• The 2 types of recount are Personal and Factual Recount
• Personal Recount– provides information regarding and event or a series of events that the author experienced.
• Personal Recount provides information regarding and event or a series of events that the author experienced. 
• Factual recount Writer where the writer did not experience it but has seen or thought about it that is interesting to the writer.
