    • They multiply very quickly through dividing by a process called binary fission
    • They produce toxins that damage cells
  • Salmonella symptoms:
    • fever
    • stomach cramps
    • vomiting
    • diarrhoea
  • Salmonella prevention:
    • poultry are vaccinated
    • keeping raw meat away form cooked food
    • wash hands and surfaces when handling raw meat
    • cook it thoroughly
  • Salmonella is spread by eating contaminated food or drinking contaminated water. The bacteria that causes it can be found in raw meat, eggs and in unhygienic conditions
  • Gonorrhoea symptoms:
    • thick yellow discharge from vagina or penis
    • pain while urinating
  • Gonorrhoea can be spread through unprotected sex.
  • Gonorrhoea prevention:
    • using condoms
    • antibiotics
