  • Visual field confrontation test - Area testing:
    • Looks at scope of vision of each eye assessing central and peripheral vision of each eye separately
  • Visual field confrontation test - Instructions:
    • Patient covers one eye with hand or small card
    • Patient to look at therapist nose
    • Hold up fingers in one quadrant
    • Patient asked to state how many fingers holding up/or state when can see finger/see finger moving
    • Repeat in each quadrant and for each eye
  • Visual field confrontation test - Outcome:
    • Should be equal and able to see peripheral and central
