Scene 8 - Summary

• In Scene 8, Faustus is reminiscing about all the adventures he and Mephastophilis have had together, then Mephastophilis tells Faustus he has arranged to enter the Pope's private chamber
• In Scene 8, Faustus & Mephastophilis prepare to go into the pope's chambers and Mephistophilis makes Faustus invisible
• In Scene 8, Faustus plays tricks on Pope and the friars by snatching plates and cups from them and he boxes the Pope on the ear
• In Scene 8, after boxing the Pope's ear, the friars begin a dirge to curse the evil spirit. In response Faustus and Mephastophilis beat them and throw fireworks among them before leaving
