SF:Dispersion Graphs

Cards (1)

  • Dispersion graphs are used to show how far data are dispersed or clustered (e.g. the depth of earthquake foci at different types of tectonic plate margins). With a completed dispersion graph, it's possible to apply statistical skills to find:
    • The range (span of all the data)
    • The median (middle value)
    • The quartiles
    • The inter-quartile range
