behavioural - reduced levels of energy making hem lethargic which can lead to withdrawal from work, school, social life. also can lead to psychomotor agitation which is the struggle to relax and may pace up and down room.

cognitive - tend to process info about aspects of world differently from 'normal' way people without depression would.
cognitive - poor levels of concentration, unable to stick with tasks and find it difficult to make decisions. this can interfere with work.
cognitive - pay more attention to negativity and ignore positivity bias towards recalling unhappy events than happy ones.
emotional - more pronounced experiences of sadness and feeling lethargic. often describe themselves as worthless or empty
emotional - extreme anger than is directed at self or others. anger can lead to aggression or self harm which can be considered behavioural
emotional - lowered self esteem with some describing it as a sense of self loathing which is hating themselves
