investigating resistance

• build a series circuit including one battery, resistor and ammeter
• make note of the potential difference and record the current, use V=IR to calculate resistance
• add another resistor in series and again measure current and use potential difference of battery to get resistance
• repeat this until youve used atleast 4 resistors
• plot a graph and u should find that the more resistors you add to series, resistance increases
• using the same equipment, build the same initial circuit
• measure total current and calculate resistance
• this time add another resistor but in parallel
• again measure current and calculate resistance
• repeat again until youve put atleast 4 resistors in parallel
• plot a graph for parallel circuit and you should see that adding more resistors increasing amount of current as there are more directions which decreases resistance
