There is no specific teaching regarding contraception in Islam. However, as Islam is pro-life and regards children as a blessing, many see contraception as interfering with Allahs plan
Surah 17:31 about not using contraception / abortion
' Do not kill your children for fear of poverty. Allah will provide for you, killing them is a great sin '
Surah 2 about not having more children if you cannot bare it:
No one should be burdened with more than they can bear
The use of contraception is important to prevent STI
Sex should be enjoyed and as a way of expressing love, without having children if not ready to do so
Situation ethics would ask what the most loving thing to do is
