• Verbs tells subjects actions, events, or state of being
• Verbs can always be found in the predicate of a sentence
• Verbs are words used to express an action, a condition or a state of being
• Action verb is a type of verb that shows action. I tells what subject does. Action can either be physical or mental.
• Physical Action example is "The farmer feeds the chicken"
• Mental action example: "He likes to feed the chicken"
• Present verbs are action verbs that describes an action that is happening now
• Past verbs are action which happened some time ago
• Future verbs are actions which are going to happen
• Linking verbs links its subject to a word in the predicate
• Helping verb helps a main verb express action or precise shade of meaning
