• The scientific study of behavior and mental processes.

• Includes everything we do that are directly observable and all our outward actions and reactions.

• Includes the internal activity of our minds that are not directly observable.

  Mental Processes
• Before 1870 psychology was not a separate discipline rather it was studied under Philosophy.
• In 1935 Gestalt Psychology came into existence.
