Result of idea of peaceful co-existence

• There was some improvement in East-West relations, as in 1955 , the wartime Allies signed a peace treaty with Austria and withdrew their occupying forces
• There was some improvement in East-West realtions and it became easier for Western tourists to travel behind the iron curtain
• There was some improvement in East-West relations , especially with the summit conference in 1959 between Western leaders and Khrushchev
• The East-West suspicions didn't die , e.g. in 1955 , the Warsaw Pact was formed
• Serious crisis continued to flare up , e.g. Berlin and Cuba
