in the circulatory series oxgynated blood is pumped through the pulmonary vein from the lungs and into the left atrium. Carried to the left ventricle and out of the aorta to the rest of the body. Deoxgynated blood is pumped back in through the vena cava from the body and into the right atrium, down into the right ventricle and out the pulmonary artery to the lungs.
