• homoestasis - the body’s way of maintaining its internal conditions so it can function properly and enzymes can work effectively
• controlled by autonomic control system and negative feedback
• blood glucose concentration - When blood glucose concentration is too high, the pancreas releases the hormone insulin (causes blood to move out of the blood and into the surrounding cells)
• when the blood glucose levels are too low, pancreas releases a hormone called glucagon - turns into glycogen in the liver to glycerol
•  thermoregulation - body temp is maintained at 37°C so enzymes can work effectively
