CLINICAL LABORATORY PERSONNEL

• Laboratory Director (Pathologist) - specializes in the study of disease and works in both clinical and anatomical pathology
• Laboratory Manager (Administrator) - a medical laboratory scientist with a master's degree and 5 or more years of laboratory experience
• Section Supervisor - an MLS with experience and expertise related to the particular laboratory section (s)
• Medical Laboratory Scientists - performs laboratory procedures that require independent judgement and responsibility with minimal technical supervision
• Medical Laboratory Technician - failed to pass the board examination for medical technology but had obtained a general rating of at least 70%
• Medical Laboratory Assistant - aids the MLS or MLT by preparing samples for testing
• Phlebotomist - collect blood from patients for laboratory analysis
