o In 2005 a project to improve the conditions of the Mithi River was initiated. Previously, the Mithi River was highly polluted, reducing it’s carrying capacity.
o They have built levees, sewage treatment plants, and wetlands, all in an attempt to improve water quality and flow along the river to reduce flood risk.
