  • B-The Catholic Church and Church of England practice infant baptism, they believe that baptism must take place when you are a baby to start your Christian life.
    E-"no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the spirit"
    E- Therefore, babies are born with original sin, so they need baptism to cleanse them, so that they may become adopted sons and daughters of God and receive the grace of the Holy Spirit.
  • B- Pentecostals practice belivers' baptism. They believe in the Holy Spirit.
    E-"Therefore go and make disciplines of all nations,baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit."
    E- This quote commands Christians to spread their faith to everyone through teaching and baptism, emphasising the true nature of God.
  • B- Quakers and the Salvation reject baptism alltogether and all outward symbols and rituals.
    E-"Jesus came to Galilee to the Jordan to be baptised by John"
    E- However, for Quakers, who reject baptism and outward rituals, this event might not hold the same significance in their spiritual beliefs.
  • In Infant Baptism oil is used to anoint because it is a powerful sign of healing and protection and it is believed to strengthen the one being baptised to turn away from evil, temptation and sin.
  • In Believers Baptism the person being baptised must say a testimony (describe how he/she became a believer in Jesus)
