symbiosis

• symbiosis- any relationship that exist when different species of organisms live together
• mutalism- two organisms living closely together and they both benefit eg cow and egret
• commensalism- a relationship between 2 species in which 1 clearly benefits while the other is not harmed nor does it benefit

  eg. shark and remora
• parasitism- parasite gains while host is harmed

  eg. dog and tick
• ectoparasites- live on outer surface of their host eg ticks
• endoparasites- live within their host eg plasmodium enters by the bite of a mosquito
