  • Court
    The overall court dimension of badminton is 20 feet by 44 feet
  • Net and Posts

    frequently used in singles and rarely in doubles. the flight of the shuttle is very high and falls at the back of the receiver's court

    the purpose of this is to direct the shot to the opponent's rearmost part. this shot is good for defense or to attack the opponent
  • Drive Shot
    a basic flat shot directly hit over the net. a powerful, quick counter-attacking shot that is easy to execute
  • Drop Shot
    a shot with a gentle hit or strike from the rear end of the court to the opponent's front court
  • Smash Shot
    considered an attacking shot. the fastest, most aggressive, and destructive shot

    the first contact in a volleyball game, and it's an important oppurtunity to gain an advantage over the opposing team.
  • Ball
    It shall be spherical, made of flexible leather or synthetic case with a bladder inside. made of rubber or similar material. The circumference should be between 20-27 inches (65-67 cm). Weight should be (260-280g)
  • Passing
    also known as bump, used to receive the ball from opposing team's serve or hit. The goal of passing is to keep the ball in play and set up an offensive play.
  • Blocking
    a defensive skill used to stop the opposing team's attack and can also be used to potentially score points.

    also called overhead passing is the most important step in an offensive play as it determines which player gets to spike or attack

    Place the palm of one hand over the fingers of the other, held vertically (forming a “T”), and then indicate the requesting team.

    Circular motion of the forearms around each other

    Show a yellow card for a warning; red card for a penalty.

    Show both cards jointly.
