• LEADER programme - EU-funded programme that aims to provide local communities with the resources needed to - reduce poverty, increase social inclusion and promote economic development
• area partnership companies support local communities to - reduce local unemployment and poverty, encourage educational engagement and improver social inclusion
• Pobal works with organisations to improve the lives of people experiencing social exclusion and disadvantages
• benefits of community development - employment, enterprise culture, commerical rates, community spirit, reduce emigration and less anti-social behaviour
