Risalah

Cards (4)

  • What is Risalah?
translates to "message", refers to prophethood (as it represents the various ways Allah communicated with humanity to reveal his messages)
    Risalah as revelation:
Islam teaches Allah wants to help people live good lives, so he sends messages to guide them
Many of these messages are found in the Qur'an, so these revelations were communicated through prophets
  • "Christ the son of Mary was no more than an Apostle" -Surah 33 (denies the Trinity as Muslims believe it takes away from Tawhid)
  • Muhammed —> is called ”the Seal of the Prophets” as he was the last prophet and received the final message from Allah
Muslims are taught from a young age to practice Sunnah
Muhammed is very important as he brought the final and perfect message in the form of the Qu’ran
  • Ibrahim —> is mentioned many times in the Qu’ran, encouraged worshipping Allah
His faith was tested by Allah, but he was willing to sacrifice his son nonetheless. Teaches muslims to submit
