Pollination by birds

• the flower, e.g aloe is brightly coloured, red, orange or yellow to attract birds

• Flower is shaped like a trumpet, stamens and stigma protruding from the flower
• flowers are carried in clusters on the tips of long, solid leafless stems that protrude above the plant leaves. This makes it accessible to birds looking for nectar
