    • Can use the tinnels tests (tapping of the nerve) to see if theres any nerve issues
    • positive result is indicated by reproduction of symptoms
  • PAVIMS:
    • passive movement of the spine
    • doesnt help differentiate which structures are involved
    • but helps see WHERE the pain is coming from e.g. leg pain reproduced when pushing down on specific part of the spine
  • PAVIMS:
    1. put pts in prone on a low plinth
    2. do posterior-anterior pushes of the spinous process (start by finding s2 in between psis
    3. use pisiform grip
    4. move up each spinous process
    5. then move to the sides to do posterior-anterior of the transverse processes
    6. then do a transverse push across the spinous processes (increase height of plint height)
