    refers to persons psychological status as being masculine or feminine inc attitudes roles and behaves which are heavily influenced by social norms and cultural expectations it is partly determined by the environment therefore classed as nurture. it is more fluid and can be influenced socially people can be more feminine or masculine or in between

    some people feel that their biologically prescribed sex doesn’t match their gender often referred to as transgender gender reassignment surgery to being sexual identity in line with their gender identity
  • Sex role stereotypes are a shared set of expectations that people within society and culture hold about what is acceptable for males and females
