  -charged electrons are taken off one and put on the other which leaves the materials electrically charged

  positive static charge on one a equal negative charge on the other
• what is electrostatic attraction/repulsion?

  -two electrically charged objects are close together and exert a force

  -two opposite charges are attracted but the same charges are repelled

  -this is a non contact force
