  • What the Act 56 of 1974 does
    1. Governs all the activities
    2. Clearly defines the scope of each profession that is mandated with HPSCA
    3. Sets processes that HPCGA must follow in order to achieve Statutory mandate
    4. Regulates professions in SA
  • HPCSA
    • Only registers professions that meet their standards of training, education, behaviour and professional skills
    • Has the power to institute disciplinary proceedings regarding any allegations of professional conduct against any person registered with them
  • HPCSA can prosecute those who pretend to be registered
