    Dimensions of stratification:
    • Social class - peoples ability to earn income and acquire wealth. Those who have high demand skills have greater access to wealth, while those with fewer skills are at a disadvantage
    • Status - people have different amounts of respect/prestige in society
    • Party - power and influence, through political organisations, unions or interest groups. Those in higher social classes have more party power, while w.c. voices are underrepresented
