  6. High levels of oestrogen inhibit production of more FSH and stimulate the release of LH

  7. LH stimulates the release of a mature egg from the ovary

  8. After ovulation, LH levels fall again

• Progestrone is secreted


  It inhibits both FSH & LH & maintains the lining of the uterus in the second half of the cycle, so it's ready to receive a developing embryo
