CLE: JESUS, SEATED AT THE RIGHT HAND OF THE FATHER

• Christians believe that earth is a temporary home.
• Death is a part of the reality of our human existence
• Jesus is seated at the right hand of the Father because He is God.
• We affirm this truth every time we profess the Creed
• Jesus Christ is true God and true man
• At the Council of Chalcedon (A.D. 451), the Church declared that the two natures of Christ are joined "in one person and one hypostasis" (Denzinger 302), where hypostasis means one substance.
• Being seated at the right hand of the Father affirms the divinity of Jesus as God.

• He instituted the Holy Eucharist, so that we can have an everlasting memorial of His love and sacrifice.
