OTHER POULTRY

• IMPERIAL PEKING - This is a breed of duck that is force-fed and housed in a small cage so that inactivity will ensure tender meat. This breed is used in making "Peking Duck" dish.
• DUCK OR ITIK - Next to chickens,duck, or itik, is the second major source of egg and meat in the Philippines. Ducks are primarily raised for balut and salted egg, or itlog na pula.
• SQUAB - This is a young immature domestic pigeon typically under four week old, of either sex and has extra tender meat.
