Starting the Word 2010 application
1. Click the Start button
2. Click the All Programs option from the menu
3. Search for Microsoft Office from the submenu and click it
4. Search for Microsoft Word 2010 from the submenu and click it

The Backstage View was introduced in Word 2010 and acts as the central place for managing documents

Displays information about the opened document, including Compatibility Mode, Permissions, Prepare for Sharing, and Versions
To exit the Backstage View, click the File tab or press the Esc button
When you start Word, it displays a new document by default
Entering text in a Word document

1. Keep the cursor at the text insertion point and start typing
2. Press Enter to add a new paragraph
3. Use the Tab key instead of the spacebar to add more than one space between words
Word 2010
