Ideas/Themes

• The upper class viewed the lower class as: Idle and Lazy and that it was their own fault for being poor.
• Greek God Dionysus: Expressed the idea of festivity,kindness and being merry. And held a thyrsus which defeated those that opposed his good ideas.
• Malthusian Principle: The idea that the population growing mean that the supply for food will decrease. As a result, the upper class believed the poor should suffer.
