  • 61% reported having a video game system at home – more boys than girls.
  • Took into account the children that had not played the video games before, but this made no difference to the significance of the results.

  • Boys spent more time overall playing with the aggressive toy – this was not affected by the game they played.

  • Children had higher interpersonal aggression scores if they had actually played the games rather than just observing them
  • Missile game was voted most violent.
  • Boys enjoyed Missile command more than the girls did and wanted to keep playing much more than the girls, and over any other condition.
