Cards (3)

  • Age of criminal responsibility- in England and Wales the age is 10, if you are below the age of 10 you cannot face prosecution but over 10s can face charges.
  • Past criminal convictions- having past convictions will affect the likelihood of criminal charge, past convictions means offenders are more likely to face criminal charges.
  • Diminished responsibility- you can receive a reduced sentence for murder if you can argue you were not in control of your actions, if you can improve this results will be a manslaughter conviction instead of murder.
