Homeostasis is the process by which the body regulates itself and maintains optimum conditions.
Homeostasis is the regulation of the internal conditions of a cell or organism to maintain optimum conditions for function in response to internal and external changes.
Any sort of exercise increases the need for respiration, which glucose is needed for. This means that blood glucose levels drop during exercise, and homeostasis needs to be used to keep the blood glucose concentration, temperature, and water levels constant.
The general features of an automatic control system are receptor cells, a coordination centre, and effectors.
Receptor cells pick up on stimuli, and pass the information about it to the coordination centre, who sends it on to the effector. The effector carries out a response.
