  • Clear rubbish
    1. Collect all rubbish from the room and bathroom
    2. Empty rubbish bins into the refuse bag on your service trolley
    3. Empty ashtrays into this bag, douse any smouldering ashes in ashtrays with water before emptying
    4. Be aware of sharp objects or needles in the rubbish, do not handle without gloves, report any accidents to first aid
    5. Wash the rubbish bin and disinfect with disinfectant chemical agent
    6. Replace the bin liner (if these are used)

  • Remove dirty room service trays and dirty room crockery and room service items
    1. Follow your property's procedure for taking care of these items properly

    4. When replacing ashtrays, remember to replenish the matches too
  • linen
    1. Remove all soiled linen from guest room and bathroom (including bed linen, towels, etc.) and place these inside your dirty laundry bag on your trolley
    2. Take care with contaminated linen
  • Prepare your chemical bucket
    1. Add the chemicals and water you might need as well as your cloth, sponge etc.
    2. Place the bucket inside the room under the luggage rack to keep your supplies out of the way
  • Prepare the bathroom for cleaning
    1. Flush the toilet with the lid down to remove any residue
    2. Time, heat and energy (scrubbing) are the factors that help remove body oils and dirt from bathroom surfaces
    3. Lift up the lid and seat and put toilet cleaner around the bowl and give it a quick scrub
    4. Apply all-purpose cleaner on shower and bath areas including the tiles
    5. Use hot water to quickly wipe over the shower area
    6. Leave the chemicals to work

    1. Turn the temperature control to "off" as soon as you enter the room, as it needs enough time to defrost completely

    1. Stack linen on shelves with folds facing outwards

    3. Set up all items on shelves for convenience
