2nd October - Nicholas leads an uprising of 3000 commoners
4th of october Dr Raynes, chancellor of the bishop of Lincoln was murdered by a mob
7th October- at least 10,000 rebels marched on the county town of Lincoln
The demands (articles) outlined what the rebels were angry with for example, the dissolution of the monasteries and high taxes.
Henry sent a message to the rebels threatening extreme punishment and destruction of their property if they didn’t stop. He sent 3,000 men to meet the rebels.
The rebels back down because they didn’t want to be accused of treason they ask for a royal pardon and Henry lets them off. By 11th of October it was over.
