• Management is a process of consisting of planning, organizing, directing (or leading), and controlling
• management must seek to find out the objectives of the organization
• management must decide on the ways to be adapted and the material resources to be used
• management must determine the human requirements of the total job
• management must assign specific tasks to specific persons and motivate them
• management must provide means to make sure that the activities are in the right direction
