  • Typography terms
    Serif: a small line or stroke attached to the end of a larger stroke in a letter. Sans-serif: a typeface without serifs. Font: a specific style of typeface, such as Arial or Times New Roman. Kerning: the space between individual letters. Leading: the space between lines of text.

    The order in which the viewer's eye is drawn to different elements on the page.
  • Contrast
    The use of different elements (color, size, shape, etc.) to make certain parts of the design stand out.
  • Alignment
    The positioning of elements in relation to each other and the page.
