• Cells are the basic unit of life

  There are four different types of cells:

  Animal, plant, fungal and bacterial
• Large circular chromosomes contains DNA


  Found in bacterial cells
• Plasmids are circular rings of DNA


  Found in bacterial cells
• Cell wall provides support and maintains cells shape

  Found in: plant, fungal and bacterial cells

  A plants cell wall is made from cellulose
• Vacuole stores water and minerals


  Found in: plant and fungal cells
• Chloroplasts is the site of photosynthesis 


  Found in plant cells
• Cell membrane controls the entry and exit of substances


  Found in: animal, plant, fungal and bacterial cells
• Mitochondria is the site of aerobic respiration


  Found in: animal, plant and fungal
• Ribosomes are the site of protein synthesis


  Found in: animal, plant, fungal and bacterial cells
• Nucleus controls cells activity and stores DNA

• Cytoplasm is the site of chemical reactions
