A geometric sequence is a sequence where each term is calculated by
multiplying
the
constant
in the
previous term.
The constant between any two consecutive terms is always
equal
called common ratio (r).
Geometric Sequence: Sum of n Term Formula: Sn = a1 (1 - rn) / 1 - r
where:
Sn =
the sum of the first n terms
a1 =
the first term
n =
the number of terms
r =
the common ratio
