  • A geometric sequence is a sequence where each term is calculated by multiplying the constant in the previous term.
  • The constant between any two consecutive terms is always equal called common ratio (r).
  • Geometric Sequence: Sum of n Term Formula: Sn = a1 (1 - rn) / 1 - r
    where:
    • Sn = the sum of the first n terms
    • a1 = the first term
    • n = the number of terms
    • r = the common ratio
